About the IREB®

The International Requirements Engineering Board (IREB®) is an organization that specializes in promoting and developing best practices in the field of requirements engineering (requirements management). The IREB® was founded in 2006 in response to the growing importance of requirements engineering in software development.

IREB® offers a wide range of activities and services in collaboration with various interest groups to improve the quality and effectiveness of requirements engineering. These include the development and promotion of standards, methods, and techniques, training and certification programs for professionals, and collaboration with industry and research institutions to identify and disseminate best practices.

The main goal of IREB® is to improve the quality of requirements by ensuring that they are clear, complete, consistent, and traceable. This helps to minimize misunderstandings and errors in software development and ultimately increases the quality of the software products developed.
